Our Classes
If you have wanted to give ceramics a spin, we offer an all inclusive beginners class. Over the course of 5 weeks you will spend an hour and a half once a week working closely with our teacher learning to center and throw basic forms on the wheel, trimming, various surface design techniques, and glazing. You will be provided with all necessary materials.
This class will also include one Half-Day Studio Pass (4 hr) for the student to come in and play or practice on their own time!

2 Hour Beginner's Crash Course
Want a quick introduction to wheel throwing without the full immersive 5 week course? We have a day class for you!
In two hours our teacher will show you the basics of how to center the clay on the wheel, pull up the walls, and finish the piece without needing to trim. We cover both cylinder and bowl forms. At the end of class, you will get to choose a glaze color from our extensive glaze wall. We will take care of the firing, glazing, and notify you when it is ready to pick up (roughly 3 weeks after the class).

5 Week Beginner's Wheel Course
4 Week Beginner's Hand Building
You don't need a wheel to do pottery! Many artists build their work using just their hands, making it a much more accessible way to create. During this 4 week class we will cover three basic hand building techniques: Coil, pinch, and slab. Students will also discover surface designs and glaze all their own pieces.

This is a one-on-one private class for those with some experience but looking to refine their skills or troubleshoot a particular technique: centering faster, trimming, handles, throwing thinner, or specific shapes (lidded vessels, plates, big bowls, bellied vessels).
At the end of class, you will get to choose a glaze color from our extensive glaze wall. We will take care of the firing, glazing, and notify you when it is ready to pick up (roughly 3 weeks after the class).

5 Week Intermediate Wheel Course
Now that you have a grasp on centering and throwing, let’s dig into some more advanced skills. In this class we’ll be throwing a little larger, a little wider, assembling teapots, and lidded vessels. You will be provided with all necessary materials.
This class will also include one Half-Day Studio Pass (4 hr) for the student to come in and play or practice on their own time!
